Children and young people
The Pilgrimage is free for children and young people. HCPT do not ask that the cost of the trip is paid by the parents or cares of any of the children. Instead, we take on a busy programme of fundraising activities throughout the year to ensure the costs for all the children are covered.
The cost of sponsoring each child is approximately £750, with extra costs for the preparation activities, presents, souvenirs and activities that take place for the children.
Volunteer helpers
Every volunteer helper in every HCPT group is responsible for paying their own fare. On average, this is around £725. The approximate cost breakdown is as follows:
Flights - £399
Accommodation - £300
Insurance (compulsory) - £15
Transfers in Lourdes - £8
Domain Contribution -£3
